Kristina is a mother of 4 doing the best she can with as little as she has. Kristina has two children suffering rather serious medical issues that require constant transport to doctors between Portland and Medford. A five-year-old daughter with severe aspiration issues, who has already had two different attempts to repair the damage, while dealing with a possible auto immune and memory disorders. And a young son suffering from debilitating migraines that some with a bevy of other serious issues.  Needless to say, these poor kids need a lot of medical attention that Kristina provides daily rendering her unable to do much else, such as work

To make matters worse, Kristina’s sole method of transportation has been struggling a lot lately and her heater is completely out, making for some rather long cold trips to the doctors. Last week her son had to bundle up in blankets on the way to the doctor in order to avoid being too cold. It’s heartbreaking for any parent to see their kids struggle like this, but Kristina is staying strong for her little ones

Well today I am happy to say that thanks to the wonderful partnership of Brooke Communications and Rogue Credit Union, Wish Upon a Star is here to send the family some much needed help.

Thanks to our partnership with Chuck Swarm Auto, we are going to have their professionals take a look at Kristina’s Car to see how we can get her back up and running with a warm ride for her kiddos. Kristina will also be receiving a generous gift card from DC Farmers Co-Op to offset fuel costs for her travels. As well as a gift card to Walmart to stock up on supplies or gifts for the holidays. Thanks to our partnership with Blueprint Meats and Crystal Creek Meats the family will be receiving 20lbs of beef as well.

Umpqua Aggregate Resources Excavation & Paving, Umpqua Sand & Gravel, and the Bar Run Golf Course will also be providing Christmas gifts for the kiddos as well.
