Megan has been through… a lot… to say the least.
Megan’s first son was born October 7th 2020. This was the happiest day of Megan and her Fiancé’s life. However, the happiness was short lived. Within six days of Cason’s birth, he came down with a terrible illness. After Mercy spotted something troubling with Cason’s labs, he was life-flighted to Portland where he would spend the next 24 hours.
Once the doctors in Portland established that Cason was battling a very nasty infection, he was then life-flighted to Stanford California where he would live out the remainder of his life.
Cason passed away October 26th – Only 19 days old.
There are few experiences in the world like losing a child. It is said that a parent should never outlive their own children, and it is quite unfortunate that Megan and her fiancé would have to face such a traumatic experience.
To say that these last few years have been an emotional rollercoaster for Megan, would be nowhere near sufficient. After the wonderful news of Megan’s pregnancy earlier this year, Megan and her fiancé were elated to welcome a daughter into their family.
However this news came shortly before Megan would be stricken with tragedy once more. On October 4th her other half fell victim to an unexpected virus that took his life. Megan was now left alone to welcome her daughter into life.
When it rains… it pours…
When we experience so much loss so quickly, it can become incredibly easy for us to become lost within the trauma. Even our favorite experiences often become bitter reminders of fonder memories of those we loved.
That is why Megan’s mother is committed to helping Megan welcome Julie’s granddaughter into the world, and to give that little girl the best life they can, one day at a time.
Megan is a very caring person who works in the medical field, who is always doing what she can for others, so her mom wants to make sure her daughter has whatever she can to ease the stress of bringing a newborn into the world.
Well hope is on the horizon, because thanks to Rogue Credit Union and Brooke Communication’s Wish Upon A Star Program we can help lift Megan’s spirit before the baby arrives
A new baby means a lot of dirty clothes, so Megan will be receiving a new Washer and Dryer system to help limit the trips between her new home, and her neighboring mothers.
Thanks to our partnership with Rat Rod Roundup Megan will also be receiving a generous gift card to Walmart. This way Megan can stock up on whatever necessities she may need throughout the holidays.
And to top it all off, Megan will be receiving a Swedish massage from the River Rock Spa down at Seven Feathers to help ease any tension. This should hopefully provide her with some much needed rest and relaxation before the baby arrives.
Megan, our heart goes out to you. Many of us cannot possibly fathom the pain and trauma you have experienced, but we just want to do what we can to help shine a little light down in the dark! We look forward to seeing you smile once again when your daughter arrives!
Merry Christmas Megan and Julie!
